SS Dagger [Early Model] by Robert Klaas Solingen
SS [Schutzstaffel] Dagger in early Version from Wilhelm Götz [103945]. Modell 1933. The dagger is in EXC++ condition throughout. This early SS Dagger is with the Maker Robert Klaas Solingen.
Grip: This grip shows no repairs, and fits the crossguards. The grip eagle is the early, “High Necked” variety. All the details are visible throughout the bird's feathering, talons, wreath, and mobile swastika. This early dagger is equipped with nickel crossguards and tang nut. These guards are in good shape. The guards are still in good condition, showing an average amount of wear from use. The lower guard has stamped the SS number 103945 and a roman "I" and "3/30".
Blade: The blade of this example is still in fairly nice condition, with just the slightest amount of gray in the surfaces. The motto Meine Ehre heißt Treue «My honor is loyalty». The reverse ricasso of the blade is matching-etched with the circular design formed by the firm's name and location, “Robert Klass Solingen”. In the center is a pair of stylized kissing cranes. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour.
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is in good condition with original black paint. The nickel scabbard mounts exactly matching the patina of the guards. These mounts are in excellent condition. The original nickel screws are all in place.
