Ground Röhm SS Dagger [Early Version], German - Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen-Foche

A very nice factory ground Rohm SS dagger here, with SS mann serial number. The serial number, 36549, is engraved into the lower cross guard. The grip and cross guard fit is nearly perfect, and the wood of the SS Dagger’s grip has retained all of its deep black color, with only minor scratches to note, and no chips or cracks whatsoever.  The blade is in exceptional condition, with only a handful of very minor oxidation spots, hardly worth even noting. The Rohm inscription has been factory ground, from tip to guard, including the maker’s mark. The cross grain on both sides of the blade is very pronounced, and motto a crisp medium gray as expected. The scabbard has black paint. Other than a couple of scratches here and there, this paint is nearly 85% intact, and still has a fine shine to the surfaces. The throat is a nickel example, whereas the upper and lower mounts are nickel-plated. These mounts are in nice condition, still having bright plating throughout and only the slightest of a ding to the lower ball. These mounts are retained by nickel screws which are unturned. There is a short black hanger is around the carrying ring. The leather on this hanger shows some usage and some age, but it still appears sound and is complete with the small retainer loop. The hanger hardware is nickel-plated, and the snap clip is unmarked.
