SA Dagger [Early Version] by Julius Ohliger Solingen
This SA [Sturmabteilung] Dagger in Near Mint condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37.6 cm. Early Nickel fittings, lower guard with «No» stamp. The Dagger has the very rare maker mark on the blade: Julius Ohliger Solingen.
Grip: The all nickel mounts are in nice condition throughout. The lower reverse crossguard is Gruppe marked «No» Nordsee. The grip still remains in Near Mint condition. The runes button is nicely placed.
Blade: The blade of this example is still grades at about Mint. The SA motto Alles für Deutschland «Everything for Germany» is deep. The company logo is on the reverse ricasso: Julius Ohliger Solingen. The blade shoulders meet the crossguard contour.
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is straight throughout. The mounts are also choice through to the lower ball. They exactly match the patination of the crossguards, and are retained by four nickel screws.
