Unissued NSKK Dagger [Late Version] with Grip Tag & Bag - RZM M7/13

This NSKK [National Socialist Motor Corps] Dagger in MINT condition. Model 1939-1942. The total length is 37.8 cm. The Dagger has the RZM Code on the blade: RZM M7/13.

Grip: This tagged NSKK Dagger is quite a beauty having outstanding nickel-plated crossguards and tang nut. The tang nut is in choice perfect condition and does not look to have been turned. The grip is a fine medium contour constructed RZM type. The grip is a fine RZM type having a lighter colored fruitwood having a subtle grain which runs lengthwise. The grip is absolutely perfect throughout and fits the crossguards like a glove. The SA runes button is perfectly placed and has outstanding enameled surfaces. Attached to the grip via a rivet is the original issue tag. The obverse of the tag is printed in black with the NSKK Eagle and below «NSKK DIENSTDOLCH nach Vorschrift Hersteller». Next to this are the lines which have a rubber code stamping rendered «M7/13». The reverse of the tag has a black printed RZM shaded circle over the full organization name for the RZM «Reichszeugmeisterei der NSDAP». Beneath this is the run number for the dagger, «No. 003122». This tag is in excellent condition. The rivet is firmly in place and has never been taken off.

Blade: The blade of this example is in perfect mint condition having 100% of the crossgraining. There are the normal runner marks only but the rest is perfect. The SA motto is nice and crisp with 100% of the dark backgrounding in all of the letters. The reverse of the blade is matching etched on the ricasso with a double RZM circle with shading in the center. It is positioned above the code for the Arthur Schüttelhöfer ASSO, Solingen maker, «M7/13». The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour. A very fine choice conditioned unissued NSKK dagger.

Scabbard: The scabbard shell is straight throughout. This shell has a fine black coat of paint. The paint is still 100% and still has its fine factory newness to the color. The scabbard mounts are the nickel-plated steel variety. They are in completely mint perfect condition. The mounts are retained by unturned screws which still retain their nickel plating.
