SA Full Rohm Honor Dagger [Ernst Röhm] by Ernst Pack & Söhne (E. P. & S.) Solingen

This SA [Sturmabteilung] Honor Dagger in fine condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37.2 cm. Early Nickel fittings, lower guard with "Nrh" stamp. The Dagger has the full rohm inscription: In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Rohm. Maker mark on the blade: E.P.&S. in Solingen.

Grip: The mounts on this example are all solid nickel. The lower crossguard is Gruppe marked, “Nrh”. The grip is a fine furniture-like wood. This grip is of medium contour construction and is in nice condition. The SA runes button has good enamel and is perfectly placed. This eagle is in fine condition throughout having full details to its head, eye, breast and wing feathering, talons, wreath and mobile swastika.

Blade: The blade is a fine example showing just a tad of age on the surfaces but is still in near mint condition. The SA motto is crisp and deep having most of the darkening in the background letters. The ricasso area still has the full trademark, consisting of the hammering Siegfried figure with the firm's initials over top and the location on the bottom E.P.&S. (Ernst Pack und Söhne), Solingen. Full Rohm inscription: In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Rohm.

Scabbard: The scabbard shell is a fine example, having just about all of the original anodized surface. There is also some original lacquer scattered around the scabbard. A few minor age spots are visible in the finish, but overall it is a pretty nice example. The scabbard mounts are of solid matching nickel, in good condition with just a minor ding to the bottom of the lower ball.
