This Royal Yugoslav Police or Government Dagger is in EXC+ condition. The total length is 40.4 cm. The Dagger is with maker mark on the blade.

Grip: The grip is a fine, celluloid type. The grip is tightly wrapped with twisted brass wire. The gilded brass hilt fittings, including the Turks head pommel and open cross design crossguard with large capstan pattern quillon tips, similar to an Imperial German Navy dagger. The reverse crossguard contains a center mounted scabbard release button and is complete with a brsss butt plate.

Blade: The blade is in fine condition throughout. Blade is approximately 269 mm long, bright and shiny, marked, double edged blade.

Scabbard: The dent-free, gilded-brass, lightening bolt, Imperial German Navy pattern scabbard retains virtually 100% of the gilding and much of the factory frosting/lacquer with superb incised lightning bolt and acanthus leaf detail and heavy guilloche pattern suspension bands with plain suspension rings. The scabbard throat is attached with two round head screws and a silver Royal Yugoslav state eagle beneath an incised Royal Yugolav crown is mounted on the obverse shell between the suspension bands.
