The volume catalog has been a recognized standard work for 20 years and its structure, structure and numbering follow the internationally proven OEK (Germany Catalog Orders & Medals 1800 - 1945). It comprises 753 ribbons and thus completely covers the state-awarded, portable orders and decorations. The starting point was several private collections of volumes as well as the holdings of the International Phaleristic Archive (ipa), today's central office for academic religious studies in Munich. All ribbon images are made directly and without intermediate stages from the original ribbons, which is reflected in the color fastness. The volume catalog is an indispensable aid for the collector and is easy to use. All ribbons are shown on a scale of 1: 1 (in width). The current edition has been completely revised.
