SA Dagger with hanger [Early Version] - Carl Grah, Solingen-Ohligs

This early SA Dagger is in a completely natural state, having never been cleaned since the war. The crossguards have very fine smooth surfaces, with crisp edges and precisely cut accent grooves. The tang nut has a matching patination. The lower reverse guard is gruppe marked Wf-Westfalen. The grip is a fine, dark hued mahogany, with High Ridge construction. The mahogany has some grain if you look very closely. This grip is in completely perfect condition, showing almost no use and fitting the guards like a rubber glove. The SA runes button is also patinated, and appears to be the early copper type that we sometimes see. The enamel is in perfect condition. The grip eagle also has matching patination, and is the style with the point behind the head. It has no wear whatsoever, retaining full, crisp detail throughout. The scabbard shell is completely straight. The scabbard, all in all, is in a very fine condition with nearly 90% of the anodized surface. The scabbard mounts continue the theme of matching patination, and are both in excellent condition. These mounts are retained by the original screws. The short hanger is beginning to show signs of age. The hanger mounts have matching patination. There is also a small key ring attached to the clip, most likely original to the piece as it also has a matching patina. This blade is absolutely pristine; it has 100% of the original grain and a mirror-finish to the surface. The motto is deeply etched, with very dark letters. The reverse ricasso bears the Carl Grah logo, consisting of double circles which contain the firm's name and location. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour. This dagger is in very fine, untouched condition.
