SA Dagger [Early Version] - UNDINE Meisenburg Kuno, Solingen

Nickel-silver hilt fittings show uncleaned surface wear/yellow age patina with reverse lower crossguard marked “Wm” for Westmark. Medium reddish-brown, fine-grained wooden grip shows light surface wear but, no chips or cracks and with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Mirror polished blade showing surface wear/runner marks and very minor speckling with no nicks or cuts to the cutting edge. Deeply etched motto retains 99% of the light gray background frosting. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 50% of the brown anodization. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show surface wear/yellow age patina matching the hilt fittings and no damage to ball. Rare Maker UNDINE Meisenburg Kuno, Solingen. In both Ralph Siegert’s SA Dagger Book rarity scale, this maker is ranked as an 8 out of 10 reflecting production numbers of approximatly 3000.
